Happy New Year and Latest Projects

2nd January 2020 By Ron

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our customers and website visitors a very happy and healthy new year. Let’s hope 2020 will be a good one for you. For me this last year has been extremely busy which has resulted in some beautiful new websites for clients. Just to show you what kind of sites we build I have added four samples of website which I have built in 2019. There is one for a Taxi Company, one for a Restaurant, one for a stunning Self Catering Cottage and one for a Beauty Salon.

Yardarm Cottage

Yardarm cottage is located in Portnahaven and it’s a true gem. It has been recently renovated and offers luxurious accommodation for 6 people. It was a pleasure to work with the new owners to build them a website which is suitable for all mobile devices and computers and also has online bookings built in.

Lamb Taxi

Lamb Taxi started in 2019 as a new Taxi Business on Islay. Lucas, the owner, was keen to feature his driving car on the homepage of his website so that’s exactly what we did. Good luck Lucas 🙂

Port Mor Community Cafe

Ranga, former chef of Port Askaig Hotel and owner of a restaurant in Bowmore recently took over the restaurant inside the Port Mor Campsite building and named it the Port Mor Community Cafe.

Keller Skincare

We don’t only build websites for folk on Islay but also serve customers in other countries. I’ve recently finished a website for a psychologist in France (www.asterales.net) and only two days ago completed a new website for a beauty salon in The Netherlands, see below.

New E-Commerce Site for Het Bergmannetje

12th January 2018 By Ron

Braveheart Webdesign has a strong focus on Islay but also builds websites for companies in other parts of the world. Het Bergmannetje is a Dutch company selling traditional woodcraft from the Ore Mountains and Vogtland in Germany. These beautiful handcrafted exclusive christmas decorations date back to the 1700s and have a strong connection with the mining traditions in this part of Germany. The new e-commerce website for Het Bergmannetje has well over 200 items in more than 10 categories and some of these items have up to 5 different options. We wish them lots of success with their new mobile friendly, search engine optimised e-commerce website. For more info visit www.hetbergmannetje.nl

Islay Taxis in Port Charlotte

3rd December 2017 By Ron

Stuart Doyle from Port Charlotte started Islay Taxis some 11 years ago and was in need of a new website. Most of the info and photos on the old site were outdated and the site wasn’t mobile friendly, a must these days. It was quite a struggle to get four out of seven of their taxis and buses lined up for a photo but we managed to do that early November. And the result one month later is a new website with a modern look, perfect to read on all computers and mobile devices and with new photos of their modern fleet. A proper dusting of Search Engine Optimisation will keep Stuarts site ranked number one in Google and together with new Social Media profiles he’s ready for an ever increasing demand for professional Islay Taxi Services in the future. Port Mor Bistro

14th June 2017 By Ron

In the spring of 2016 Debbie Mack took over the Port Mor Bistro, the restaurant near the campsite at Port Mor, south of Port Charlotte. It turned out to be a popular place and many found their way to this lovely bistro with magnificent views over Loch Indaal Islay. Port Mor Bistro serves breakfasts, lunches, dinners and take-aways. For more info you can visit her new website at www.port-mor-bistro.co.uk

McNicols Croft

21st May 2017 By Ron

This lovely cottage, a former croft, is located on the Kilchoman Road right after Foreland Hill. Due to its elevated position it has great views over the north-western half of Islay. The cottage has recently changed owners and is now fully modernised and available as holiday accommodation on Islay. We’ve have built a new website for the owners and done the photography too. Hopefully many visitors to Islay will be able to holiday in this peaceful cottage. For more info visit www.mcnicols-croft.co.uk
